Rare American Girl Samantha White Body Doll Pleasant Company Signed & Dated 1987. Extremely Rare (and will continue to get more rare) original Pleasant Company White Body Samantha Doll from 1987 signed and dated by Pleasant Rowland, founder.
Samantha is numbered #1070 and includes the Certificate of Authenticity. She comes in her original box with all of her accessories Pin Locket, Hat, Purse (blue lining), Handkerchief, 1903 Indian Head Penny, Shoes, Hair Bow & the first edition 1986 hardcover book of Meet Samantha. The doll itself is in immaculate condition. She has no stains and has been nicely stored for years.
Her box has some creasing in several spots, and some torn and taped corners. Set also includes the following outfits. Christmas Dress (1986) (has spot on ribbon).
Samantha Saves the Day Sailor Outfit(1989) (1 button missing). First Edition Hardcover "Meet Samantha". Paperback Book 2 "Samantha Learns a Lesson"(1986). Paperback Book 3 "Samantha's Surprise"(1986 - had a nameplate that was removed).
First edition School Desk with box (Extremely rare) - This first edition desk was made of real hardwood and cast iron. It weighs about 3x the weight of the newer versions which are made from composite and laminate. It is in impeccable condition. It also has the original box!
The box has a few spots / stains, but is overall in really good shape. Original inserts and pamphlet from 1986.
