Because of the age of this'new' item; we tested the lantern prior to listing. It does NOT work, it does not light up. We replaced the batteries which were about 5 years old and it still did not work.

There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it and maybe we just have more'bad' batteries. We are offering it as NOT working though. Because of the age, we tested the item and found that the lantern is not working.

We tried a new set of batteries and it still did not light up. There is no other reason we can find that the lantern will not work (it has not been used). Another set of batteries might do the trick (batteries are 3 LR44 button batteries)? We're offering this item as the lantern is NOT working and therefore the item as used (although the set has never been actually used). Note: this Ida is issued without earrings, you can still feel the'beans' inside her This is a'must-have' set for every Addy collector?
