Early Pleasant Company American Girl Felicity and Meet accessories VGC

For the collector of Pleasant Company dolls is this beautiful early issue Felicity Merriman. Felicity has her original Meet Accessories and Maroon Box, packaging for 1991 American Girl dolls. Felicity's soft, silky red hair is tied with her ivory ribbon. Her wig is edged in ribbon like the 1980's American Girls that were made in W. Below her wig is the stamp "Pleasant Company".

The artist's mark is visible behind her right ear. Her soft eyelashes frame her vivid green eyes. She can sit and stand on her own with arms and legs that can be posed.

Her right leg is not as tight and it may have been repaired or replaced by the previous owner. Felicity is dressed in her flower striped "Meet" gown, tagged "1986 made in West Germany for Pleasant Company". Under her gown is a simple shift tagged "1986 Made in West Germany for Pleasant Company". She wears white wool stockings and black leather buckled shoes. Her socks are a newer version of her wool socks.

Felicity comes with "Meet" accessories: round-ear cap with cinnamon colored ribbon (tagged 1991 Pleasant Company), garters with a message woven by her mother, and a lace-edged handkerchief tucked into her brocade purse. Around her neck are her coral colored beads, worn for good luck. She has no odors or marks. Her only flaw that I note is the loose stitches on her lower torso and one leg that is not as snug. She will be packaged in her maroon box and placed in a sturdy outer box.
