1987 American Girl White Body Kirsten Larson Doll / Pleasant Company

A beautiful original white body Kirsten by Pleasant Company (American Girl) with gorgeous eyes and adorable rosy cheeks. Older dolls can be difficult to date because multiple factories were used for production.

Hair: Her wig has thinned a bit (especially on her left side), and the top is a little messy. The top could be cleaned up, but I'd rather her new owner do it. Her hair has been put back in its original style, using non-snag clear elastics and pretty cream-white satin ribbons to complement her white body. Eyes: Her eyes are lovely shades of bright blue that are so pretty with her rosy cheeks. Her right eye has just begun to silver around the outside edges, but it's not actually super noticeable unless you're looking for it since it's on the darker part of her irises.

As long as she's kept at a consistent room temperature, her eyes should stay in the same condition. Her eyes have that beautiful gradation that early dolls have, where they're lighter towards the center and gradually get darker towards the edges. They also have that faint white halo around the irises that's only present in the earliest PC dolls. They have so much more dimension than the eyes introduced in the very early 90's.

Truly beautiful and probably my favorite feature of this Kirsten. Body: Her limbs are fairly tight.

She still stands on her own, and has her original factory elastics and stuffing. She's super clean with no odors. Her cloth torso is near pristine and is factory-firm.

Neck strings are flat and uncut. There's a little bit of yellowing on them, but Oxiclean should make them white again. Her Pleasant Company neck stamp is curved and arches mostly behind her hairline, which is a hallmark of the first versions of Pleasant Company dolls.

She has a squishy head and limbs. There might be a couple faint shine marks on the vinyl here and there that I've missed, but nothing major that couldn't be easily buffed out with a magic eraser.
