1986 Pleasant Company American Girl Samantha Doll Collection LOT Displayed Only
The items included below are from the 1980s and very early 1990s. They are all in excellent condition, unless noted. They were only displayed and not played with, which is why everything is in amazing condition. Samantha 1986 doll in original box with white body, wearing meet dress, black patent shoes, black tights, hair ribbon, meet heart locket brooch. Hair has never been brushed.
Doll is marked Pleasant Company on back of her head, dress is marked "Made in West Germany, 1986". Meet hat, purse w/ handkerchief and Indian head penny still wrapped in original wrapping. Steamer trunk in excellent condition- paper intact, outside clean, with oval brass mirror. Brass bed and bedding in amazing white condition - no yellowing with age as it was carefully protected.
Washstand/commode with porcelain pitcher and bowl, lace edged towel and The Wizard of Oz book. Commode has two small marks along curvy edge. Nightdown, robe and pair of slippers. Samantha's School Story: Buster Brown dress, with pleats still intact- threads uncutand black hair ribbon. Wooden school desk, book strap and 3 original books (The Baldwin Primer, Composition Book and The Report Book), wooden pencil box with 2 pencils, nib pen and felt pen wiper, tea tin lunchbox with napkin and all the pieces of food- sandwich, peach, gingerbread cookie and deviled egg. Samantha's Birthday Story: Lacy pinafore dress and rosebud circlet, party stockings. Wicker table, stamped with Pleasant Company on bottom and two wicker chairs with cushions. Victorian Lemonade Set -2 goblets, 2 saucers, a pitcher, 6 pieces of gold flatware, a tablecloth edged in Battenberg lace, and two lace-edged napkins. Party Treat Set - 1 platter, 4 petit-fours, 2 ice cream bombes, 2 fans, 1 acrylic fan holder and 2 floral bouquets. Elegant doll pram and teddy bear by Merrythought. Samantha's Christmas Story: Cranberry party dress, white stockings and a wide stain hair ribbon, music box and porcelain doll holding nutcracker. Samantha's Summer Story: Middy dress with tam (hat) and whistle, paint box with 6 colors, brush and palette, pine pillow that still smells lovely, sketch book, 3 butterflies, wooden flower press, pack basket, flower bouquet of black eyed Susans, magnifying glass, whistle. Samantha's Winter Story: Plaid cape and gaiters, hat and muff, lacy whites underwaist, long white stockings (with one small stain) and petticoat, Victorian valise, ice skates, and French paper dolls (all pieces intact) and valentine kit. 2 extra pairs of white socks, still in packaging, from Spain. White tea dress with collar and pink hair ribbon.Blue Plaid Play Dress and Pinafore with matching hair ribbon. 7 American Girl plastic hangers. Samantha's My Size Locket in felt drawstring bag.
