MINT WHITE BODY 1987 Pleasant Company Samantha American Girl Adult Collector's
Gorgeous Samantha has NEVER been played with or displayed! Owned by the same adult collector for all these years - from 1980s - and is in truly mint condition. She has been stored in a climate controlled room and is truly exceptional in every way. She is basically a new doll - except that she's over 30 years old! Was told that she is a 1987 doll.
I have provenance for her - the original sales slip that is dated January 1988, which will be included. Samantha can easily hold a pose, eyes open and close as they should, soft silky hair with original curls intact, squeezable vinyl, long CURLY eyelashes (also intact), and lovely facial coloring. Her eyes appear to be a lighter shade of brown, and her hair is also lighter brown. The Pleasant Company stamp on the back of her neck is curved. She has the wrist tag which states "Dolls Made in West Germany exclusively for The American Girls Collection, " AND a sticker on her hand which says Made in Western Germany.
" Samantha comes with her complete meet outfit - dress is tagged "Made in West Germany for Pleasant Company 1986. Also includes bloomers, black ribbed tights, hair ribbon, and black Mary Jane shoes. A "Message to Parents" from Pleasant Rowland plus an order form for Samantha's Doll Travel Set are also included. Her hardcover book "Meet Samantha" is a first edition, and has never been read.A Samantha brochure is also included. Her box has the vertical ribbon, and the letters SPH in the heart.
The box has some tape damage on bottom right side, and a few small rubs and crinkles here and there. Beautiful doll for any serious collector!
